Love is on the way, is a still life composed of lilac tulips that he bought for himself from the local Woolworths (Yes! We have one now. White River is going places). The other objects were gathered from the studio, the bananas were harvested from our garden. The sticky note declares: Love is on the way. Flowers are temporary, the impermanence a reference to the need to be in the moment, to see the beauty of what is in front of one, to acknowledge the fleeting moment.
